Picture of Jerry Harbaugh Jerry Harbaugh (deceased)-Crestline. Jerry graduated from Crestline High School and was an All-Ohio football player in 1959. He also played basketball and baseball for CHS. Jerry attended Findlay College and lettered in football. Harbaugh coached football in Crestline for 25 years, 16 as a volunteer, and at Wynford High School, for eight years, and one year in Fredericktown and Clearfork, for a total of 35 years. He coached the first Crestline St. Joseph’s Youth Football team. Jerry also refereed basketball games and was a baseball umpire.

In 2004, Jerry was cited by the Ohio High School Coaches Association, for his outstanding contribution to the youth of Crestline and for his 30 years of coaching. He was honored in 1983 and 1986 as the Crestline Volunteer of the Year.

Jerry married Nancy Vaughn and they have two children, Pat (Mike) Arter and Sheila (Chad) Schrack. They also have five grandchildren-Jared, Josh and Meg Arter and Adam and Libby Schrack. Jerry never missed going to his grandchildren’s activities. He loved the beach and wintering in Naples, Florida. Jerry was a member of the Crestline City Council and served ten years, part of which as president. Jerry was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline. Jerry worked and retired after 35 years, from Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Crestline.
